You can reach the conference site either by car or via public transportation. Directions are available at the hotel web site. From the Airport by car: Follow signs for Sumner Tunnel/Route 93 North. Go through tunnel, stay in left lane and bear right onto Route 93 North. Stay in right lane and follow signs for Cambridge/Somerville & Storrow Drive. Exit right and stay to the far left following signs for Cambridge/Museum of Science. (This new exit ramp requires you to loop left under the highway until you pass in front of Spaulding Hospital.) After hospital, take a right at second light onto Route 28 North. Pass the Museum of Science and take left (Edwin Land Blvd.) at the second traffic light. The hotel will be on your left, directly across from the CambridgeSide Galleria.
From the Airport via public transportation: The Royal Sonesta Hotel can also be reached via public transportation from the airport. Once you arrive at the airport take shuttle 22 or 33 to the subway Airport station. The shuttle ride is free. Take the Blue Line (it is the only subway line reaching the airport) towards Bowdoin station. Get off at Government Center station and take the E Green Line heading towards Lechmere. Get off at Lechmere station. The Royal Sonesta Hotel is a 3 mins walk from the subway station. The subway fare is 1$ and the same fare can be used to switch lines as long as you do not exit the station. You can buy fares from any subway station or from selected stores. From the West via the Massachusetts Turnpike (I-90): While Eastbound, take left on exit 18 following signs to Allston/Cambridge; stay in right lane following signs to Cambridge/ Somerville; cross over River Street Bridge (Cambridge Street) and take a right at traffic light onto Memorial Drive (Route #3); and follow Memorial Drive East (Route #3 South) using the "cars only" option twice, then stay in extreme right lane along the river since Memorial Drive will become Edwin Land Boulevard. The hotel will be on your right directly across from the CambridgeSide Galleria.
